How does YakSafe work? (Part 2) (Administrator)

This article provides an overview of the YakSafe Administrators role and how to review breaches.

Administrators Dashboard Overview

A YakSafe administrator has their own dashboard that enables them to view any incidents as they occur. An administrators role is to manage and follow up on incidents and close them once they have been rectified.

  • To access the YakSafe Dashboard, simply click on the 'Security' button from the main menu as shown below.

Let's take a look at the key elements of the dashboard.

  • Information bar provides four data points:
    1. 'Incidents': indicates how many incidents have occurred within the selected timeframe
    2. "Issues": indicates how many issues have occurred within the selected time frame.
    3. "Total Issues all Time": indicates how many issues have occurred since inception.
    4. "Period": provides an option to change the date range.

    1. Investigate: How many times a breach was investigated for more information
    2. False Positive: How many times a breach detected was not a breach at all and had a reasonable explanation.
    3. Admin Resolved: How many of those breaches were resolved by an administrator after investigation.
    4. Withdrawn: Indicates how many breaches were removed by the original person who entered the breach in the first place.

  • The 'Policies' widget provides an overview of the most common policy issues within the selected timeframe. For example, the image below shows that passports were the most common policy breach.

Security 3

  • The 'Assets' widget provides an overview of the most common Assets where a breach was picked up in such as a goal, coaching form or assessment. In the below case, goal setting is where most policy breaches are occurring.

Security 4

  • The 'Incidents' widget is where all the action happens and is the main area in which an administrator will investigate and action incidents. Learn how to manage incident in the 'How do I manage YakSafe (DLP) incidents?' article
